St. Peter Claver Society
A breif History ;
St. Peter Claver Society (Nawudibas) formerly known as St. Theresa Society was formed, some where in the year 1952, the Losso’s now Nawudibas were worshipping in the various parts of Accra. Such as St. Joseph Catholic Church Adabraka now the Catholic Press House, Derby Ave now Sacred Heart Parish, Accra Central and Kpehe Catholic Church also now St. Pauls Catholic Church.
Our mission is to win souls for Jesus Christ
In the same year they decided to come together and worship at one place.So they were called the Losso community. Four(4) years later, with the following Emmanuel Esso, Pascal Makwena, Clement Isso, and Ben Kuleba they formed a group. The naming of the group became a problem, until the then bishop, Bishop of Accra/Koforidua diocese most Rev. Fr. Joseph O. Bowers named the group ST.THERESA SOCIETY. p>
The numerical strength stood at time was(250) two hundred and fifty.During the 1969 Alien Compliance order the numeriacal strength felled to (22) twenty two. As time went on, new members join the society, with the current strength of (63) sixty three.
