Very Reverend Dr. Nicholas Larsey, the Parish Priest of St. Kizito Catholic Church in Nima, has expressed confidence that the new year will bring glad tidings.

In his prophecy, he acknowledged the challenges that 2024 may bring but reassured the congregation that God would make the year better.

Speaking during a sermon at the watch night mass in Accra, Very Rev. Fr. Larsey encouraged Christians to maintain faith and hope for brighter days ahead.

Remain steadfast in the faith, trust in God’s continued blessings and success despite the challenges

He assured the faithful that they would cross into the new year with hope, confidence, and optimism. “Your business you have started will prosper; those seeking the fruit of the womb will receive it and answer all our heart’s desires,” he prophesied.

Rev. Larsey urged Catholic faithful to remain steadfast in their faith, trusting in God’s continued blessings and success despite the challenges they may face. “You might be going through problems, but be assured that one day your situation will change for the better,” he said.

He expressed hope that, despite the economic challenges in 2024, things would improve.

Rev. Larsey urged Christians to be thankful to God, particularly for the gift of life, noting that many people did not make it into the new year, while others were struggling for survival in hospitals on oxygen. “Breathing is the greatest miracle in our lives. Your enemies are not God, so stop throwing your hands in despair,” he said.

Rev. Larsey emphasized that it was by the Lord’s intervention that the Israelites were able to cross the Red Sea.

He encouraged all to place their faith in God, trusting that it would help fulfill their aspirations.
