COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE GHANA CATHOLIC BISHOPS’ CONFERENCE AT THE END OF ITS ANNUAL PLENARY ASSEMBLY HELD IN DAMONGO IN THE SAVANNAH REGION OF GHANA NOVEMBER 7– 14, 2025
The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has issued a fresh and urgent appeal to the government, pressing for “decisive and transparent action” against the destructive scourge of illegal mining, locally known as, Galamsey.
The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Ghana, Bonaventure Kwofie, has praised a multi-ethnic parish that has embraced diversity and earned itself the nickname, ‘African Union Parish.’ The parish says their cultural diversity is a blessing.
