About St. Kizito Parish, Nima

A Parish is a certain community of the Christian faithful stably constituted in a particular church (diocese), whose pastoral care is entrusted to a pastor (parochus) as its proper pastor (Parish Priest) under the authority of the diocesan bishop (Can. 515 §1.). The word "parish" is also used more generally to refer to the collection of people who attend a particular church; otherwise, they are called parishioners

St. Kizito Catholic Church, Nima is a multi-ethnic Parish which was found in 1943. It is in a predominantly Muslim community and the biggest slum in the Accra metropolis. Since Nima is described as the gateway to Accra, with people from all the ethnic groups in Ghana and some West African countries, the Church as well draws her membership from all the ethnic groups well established with affiliations to other groups within archdiocese
